Title IX may be overhauled (again)

The U.S. Department of Education announced it anticipates revisiting the rule-making process and may revise the 2020 Title IX regulations.

The DOE previously announced its plans to review the existing regulations. As part of that review, it intends to gather feedback from the public. The first step will be a public hearing. The Office for Civil Rights within the DOE also "plans to issue a question-and-answer document in the coming months" to "provide additional clarity" on the existing regulations, and it anticipates submitted a "notice of proposed rulemaking to amend the Department's Title IX regulations." In other words, Title IX may be getting an overhaul, again.
